Meet the New Pastor
|

|
Father Bob Roggenbuck is the eldest child of Earl and Brenda Roggenbuck. He was born in Livonia, MI and was baptized at St. Michael’s parish. He grew up in Bad Axe, MI and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN and the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary near Chicago, IL. Father studied psychology, management, and theology in his undergraduate programs and has earned two bachelors degrees, a master of divinity degree, and is currently finishing a Licentiate in Sacred Theology. He was ordained for the Diocese of Lansing, MI in June of 2004. Father served as the parochial vicar for St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, MI and is the founder of Generation Christ/Ann Arbor, a vibrant young adult ministry, and St. Catherine House, a house and program of discernment for young women interested in religious life. He is formerly the chaplain and head of theology for Powers Catholic High School in Flint, MI and is currently the pastor of Transfiguration Catholic Church in Ypsilanti, MI. Since 2002, he has been a Catholic Relief Services Global Fellow. He has served the Diocese of Lansing on the priest assignment commission, diocesan worship committee and is a member of the diocesan Catholic Relief Services board of directors. In his spare time he plays the cello badly, and enjoys reading, traveling, camping and bourbon, though not necessarily in that order.
